'I was hoping on coming home someday to make her smile again' - Nigerian soldier laments as his girlfriend secretly marries while he is fighting Boko Haram

A Nigerian soldier, Emmy Benison who has been in the fight against Boko Haram for the past two years is heartbroken after his girlfriend of two years secretly got married to another man.


Lamenting and speaking about his heartbreak, he took to Instagram to write, 'we started dating 4yrs ago and i went away for 2years without coming home. She never told me she could'nt wait anymore. I was hoping on coming home someday and make her smile again, but i woke up dis morning with pictures of her wedding. Dame, I cried o but i gotta be a man for myself, heartbreak ain't allowed here'.
